Word from the Officer Selection Officer

As a an Officer Candidate, you have two priorities you should focus on, everything else should come second.

  • First Priority: Academics! Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher or you risk being disenrolled from the PLC program. Marine Officers are expected to lead academically as well as tactically--failing to meet graduation standards will delay your commissioning.

  •  Second Priority: Preparation for OCS: Make sure you dedicate at least 3-5 days a week for physical activity. Play sports, run, swim, do something that will keep your body in shape. Train for the PFT, focus on upper body development (pullups, pushups) and make running part of your fitness.
  •  Call the office to check-in on the first and fifteenth of each month if you have any questions.
